Position: Online: Marketing Executive
Salary: Between: up to £16ph (dependant of experience)
Start date: ASAP
End of contract: September 2010
Location: Central Guildford
Our client is looking for an experience Online Marketing Executive to support the Online Marketing Manager to project manage and co-ordinate a range of on line marketing activities products and services. Digital Marketing and social media marketing experience required.
Duties include
Managing the companies’ website for regular updates, development and migration of the websites in conjunction with the Online Marketing Manager, the Web team and external agencies to ensure successful testing and deployment.
• Write briefs for the Web team detailing the work that needs to be done in a concise and clear manner.
• Manage and monitor progress of tasks with the Web team against the brief and take appropriate action as necessary to ensure the work is completed to a professional standard and on time.
• Review and comment on work produced by others and suggest improvements.
• Ensure items produced are in line with the companies’ identity guidelines and house style.
• Videos / demos – assist with production of videos/demos where necessary.
• Work with the Web team to ensure web pages are copy written and coded to ensure they are optimised for search engines.
• Provide updated email templates and review design based on branding and performance. Liaise with Online Marketing Manager, Campaign Manager, Campaign Executives and the Web team to ensure successful testing and deployment.
• Social Media – assist Online Marketing Manager in executing the Social Media Strategy.
• Online advertising - assist Online Marketing Manager with delivering and optimising online advertising campaigns (Pay Per Click and banner advertising).
Responsible for producing monthly core subject analysis reports and also data for other campaigns.
Work with external agencies
• Report on progress of activities at weekly campaign meetings. Offer solutions to problems if they arise.
• Lead weekly meetings with the Web team on routine web tasks.
Assist with administrative tasks such as invoicing, keeping record of online marketing spend.
Desirable Education
Candidates educated to degree level
Essential Skills
• E-mail marketing (Need to bring examples to interview)
• Project management
• Keyboard, MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written skills (including copywriting for the web and writing briefs for suppliers). (Need to bring examples of own web copywriting to interview)
• Excellent relationship building tasks - working with internal IT/Webteams departments and external agencies ie advertising agencies, media buying
• Attention to detail and proofreading
• Problem-solving and creative flair
• Self-motivated with a can do approach
• Good customer care skills
• Ability to hit the ground running
• Team working
• Website/microsite development and management
