Job Description
A US Investment Bank based in London is now looking for a junior Product Controller to join their team. Product Control has responsibility for the Profit and Loss reconciliation and reporting for the Financial Markets business within the bank.
Reporting to the Head of Product Control, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of daily P&L
* Detailed new deal analysis to understand deal revenues
* Review and approval of new business
* Reserve calculation and review
* Detailed monthly price testing on all product types
* Preparation of the daily monthly revenue numbers including reconciliation of reported numbers
* Production of decomposition and commentaries for the business enabling them to take informed decisions
* To develop relationships with the Front Office, promoting the role of product control
* And any other ad hoc project work as required.
Ideally you will be a studying an accounting qualification with a minimum 2 years Product Control experience, or Qualified by Experience with at least 5 years Product Control experience within Rates, Fixed Income or Treasury.
You will need to have excellent communication skills to convey ideas and opinions clearly and comprehensively to others, tailoring language and terminology appropriately.
