Job Description
My client is a large telecommunications business looking for a qualified ACA Statutory accountant to assist them with the forthcoming months.
Responsibilities include:
Month end accounting and management reporting
Continuous monitoring the consolidated ledger and maintain the chart of accounts and company hierarchy;
Maintain the consolidation and calculate consolidation entries for structure changes;
Monthly reporting on the consolidated balance sheet and available-for-sale financial assets including commentary on key movements;
Manage the month end process and review work performed including accounting for the Groups available-for-sale financial assets and hedging instruments under IAS 39, hedge effectiveness, share scheme accounting, intra-group loans and balances, plant and equipment, deferred acquisition costs and income, provisions, taxation, share capital and reserves and the EPS calculation;
Statutory reporting
Assist with the production of the Group plc Annual and Interim Report and Accounts and be responsible for the delivery of specific sections thereof;
Assist with the production of the Group Board and Audit Committee papers;
Treasury management and reporting
Co-ordinate the assessment of financial risks within the business, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk to facilitate the reporting of these risks in line with the Capital Requirements Directive and IFRS 7;
Manage the Groups corporate hedging strategy;
Prepare and maintain the Groups annual cash flow forecast;
My client is a well-known telecommunications business on the West side of Central London. They are offering a 6month contract and a competitive rate of pay.
